Warning
Jan 24, 2010 - 9:34 PM - by Roger Thorne

Just a quick heads up - we are experiencing problems with an influx of spammers sending 'virus alerts' to our members via PM's. Unfortunately it reads as if it has been sent from the Administration team at tMP.

I can assure you all that this is NOT the case and we strongly suggest you DO NOT <... [Read More]

Thornbury Castle Band 20th Anniversary Concert was a great sell-out success
Mar 10, 2010 - 12:33 PM - by Geraint_MD
On Saturday 6th March, 2010 The Armstrong Hall Thornbury rung to the sound of brass band and choir as the Thornbury Castle Band and Dursley Male Voice Choir entertained the audience of Thornbury.

The band played a variety of music ranging from the traditional March of the Cobblers to an arrangement of Christine Aguilera’s Candyman. The choir also gave rousing performances ranging from The Rhythm Of Life to Hallelujah. There was a full and appreciative audience and special guests. ... [Read More]

Mar 09, 2010 - 5:40 PM - by Jack
I have been told that the promotion basis of a band is based on the previous 3 years results. Whats the point system for the positions? And how does it work. Reason Im asking is that someone told me that if they come 3rd or lower they get relegated.

Transfer the yorkshire area
Mar 09, 2010 - 2:37 PM - by Frontman

The Mercury Newspaper will offer to sponsor and finance ... [Read More]

Mar 09, 2010 - 10:24 AM - by wittig
We had just finished our practice at the welfare club last night and were having a drink in the bar when a well spoken gentleman came up to us asking if we had a recording of Trombones to the Fore. He explained that he had been a bassoon player for the army for 25 years. He said that he had searched far and wide for a recording and had contacted Frank Renton, but still had no luck.

I feel compelled to help the guy out, so I'm starting the ball rolling here to see if any TMPers can point me... [Read More]
